CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS

The California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CA²RS) was formed in 1998 to gain momentum in the field of accident reconstruction in California.

Historically, there have been similar organizations based in Arizona, Oregon, and towards the eastern regions of the United States, but California members would have to either travel large distances to attend meetings and seminars or would have to settle for a newsletter.

CA²RS was based initially in the Bay Area region of California, in order to ensure that our central location was easier for all members to attend.

We are creating an environment to learn about accident reconstruction equipment, discuss rules and regulations, gain helpful contacts to aid in individual case studies, involve members with hands-on training, and offer specific training in related topics.

As much of our training is a priority of our organization, we also acknowledge that we are creating a social situation. We are initiating an annual two-day seminar, beginning in October 1999, at which we will offer live crash testing and will present expert and/or specialty speakers.

Application for Membership to CA²RS is open to any person involved in the field of Accident Reconstruction. Currently our membership consists of police officers, CHP & MAIT officers, private sector investigators, and chiropractors.
