FORENSIC ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTIONISTS OF OREGON

FAROFARO, officially known as Forensic Accident Reconstructionists of Oregon, was chartered in June 1994 under the laws of the State of Oregon. Officially designated as a non-profit, mutual benefit corporation, FARO exists as a voluntary professional association of individuals who practice forensic reconstruction in Oregon.

FARO came into existence as individuals representing private and governmental interests recognized a need for an association that could provide training and developmental opportunities for practicing reconstructionists. Since its inception, FARO has sponsored four educational seminars and has also initiated training programs for Oregon peace officers and investigators interested in developing expertise in collision investigation and reconstruction.

Currently over 115 members strong, FARO activities have already drawn members and participants from Oregon, Washington. California, Idaho, Florida, New Jersey and Canada. Forensic Accident Reconstructionists of Oregon is governed by an elected board of governors. consisting of President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer and four Regional Directors. In addition to its education activities, FARO also publishes The Oregon Reconstructionist (a quarterly journal) and is active in safety and collision research projects throughout the State.
