NEW YORK STATEWIDE TRAFFIC ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION SOCIETY

The New York Statewide Traffic Accident Reconstruction Society (NYSTARS) was formed in May of 1996 to promote traffic accident reconstruction throughout the state of New York.

NYSTARS currently has over 100 members, most of whom reside in New York. The association publishes a newsletter (NYSTARS' News) and holds quarterly training conferences and workshops around the state. NYSTARS also co-sponsors an annual joint conference with MATAI, NAPARS, NATARI and NJAARS.

NYSTARS goal is to communicate an understanding of the quality methods involved investigating, analyzing and reconstructing traffic accidents and to observe how different professionals approach the same problem.
