TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTION SPECIALISTS
The objective of the association is stated as "This association shall be an independent and voluntary organization of individuals and businesses interested in the field of Transportation Accident Reconstruction. This association shall be for the sole purpose of promoting Research, Knowledge, Education and Safety in the field of Transportation Accident Reconstruction and to maintain the high ethical standards of this profession." TAARS has two weekend meetings and one three-day meeting per year, and participates in an annual joint conference in conjunction with SOAR and WATAI. These organizations take turns hosting the joint conference. TAARS has been known as an organization that takes a hands-on approach to the field of Transportation Accident Reconstruction. Many of the meetings involve crash tests and other field studies with the resulting information available to all members. TAARS is proud of the fact that its membership includes law enforcement, academic, engineering, manufacturing and legal backgrounds. Maybe the most amazing part of all is that we have discovered that we can learn from each other. TAARS publishes three newsletters per year and all interested parties are invited to join. and more importantly, to participate. For more information on TAARS write to: TAARS |
